The talented Norwegian junior Karl Peder Nordstrand joins the SRT team and will make his debut in "Rally Cēsis"

The 3rd stage of the Latvian Rally Championship "Rally Cēsis 2022" will take place on the upcoming weekend from August 5-6, in which Sports Racing Technologies will serve 3 crews - Vladas Jurkevičius / Aisvydas Paliukenas (Škoda Fabia Rally2 EVO), Elvis Herman / Gati Weiland ( Škoda Fabia PROTO), as well as the youngest team representative from Norway, Karl Peder Nordstrand / Stig Rune Skjaermoen (Peugeot 208).

Until now, the talented Norwegian junior, who is only 15 years old, is better known in cross-kart circles and his participation in the "Rally Cēsis" will be the debut of the young athlete in his rally career. Karl Peder Nordstrand is a multiple Danish and Norwegian crosscar champion in various classes, has won the NEZ champion title, and last year ranked 3rd in the FIA Crosscar Academy Trophy competition (FIA Crosscar Academy Trophy). Also, Karl is one of the athletes of "EVEN management". "EVEN management" is a company that helps young and talented motor sportsmen to develop. This company is represented by athletes such as Johan Kristoffersson, who is a four-time FIA World Rallycross Champion, a three-time winner of the Porsche Carrera Cup and the owner of many other titles. Also, "EVEN management" is represented by Esapekka Lappi, who became the World Rally Champion in the WRC2 class in 2016 and also won the title of European Rally Champion, as well as many other already proven motor sportsmen.

Sports Racing Technologies junior rally team manager Artūrs Priednieks: "Even though the young driver does not have much experience in driving cars, after a few days of tests it is clear that he has a good ability to adapt and try new things and, above all, learn quickly. Therefore, I think that his speed will be good enough in Cesis as well. For us at SRT, this is another young talent that will be pushed to the highest level with our help. As the manager of the junior program in the team, I am really happy that we have material to work with again, and I can already see that we can certainly help achieve the athlete's goals. Of course, I am also happy to cooperate with "EVEN management" at the same time, because the names of the athletes that came out from their side have undeniably already proven themselves at the highest level. Therefore, if "EVEN management" has seen something in this young Norwegian, then we have no doubts that he has great heights ahead of him."

Karl Peder Nordstrand: “It has been some very good test days before the rally this weekend! I feel very comfortable before Rally Cēsis with some already useful experience in the bag. We are working with SRT, who is very professional at such a high level as this, and it has helped me a lot during the testing time! Now I have my eyes on Rally Cesis this weekend, and my expectations before this rally is to keep the car on the road, but also make sure we get the best possible result!”

"Rally Cēsis" will start already this Friday, August 5th, with the ceremonial opening at 18:30 at Vienības lauku, Cēsis, and immediately after that with the first two stages in the region of Cēsis.
